The Abbo Sensor Outdoor Wall Light from Lockhone is a wide, shallow wedge that sits flat against the wall and tips its face downward. The frosted panel measures 32 cm across, which spreads a broad and even wash of light over a doorway or a set of steps rather than throwing a narrow beam. A dark grey frame keeps the outline crisp against render, brick or timber cladding, and the whole fitting projects only 13.9 cm, so it stays clear of an opening door.

Sealing is rated IP65, which keeps dust out entirely and withstands water jets from any direction, and IK06 impact resistance covers knocks from garden tools or a stray football. The housing is also seawater resistant, something that matters on a coastal elevation where salt air strips ordinary finishes. At 0.9 kg the fitting puts almost no load on the wall, and the polycarbonate and ABS body will not corrode.

The built-in motion sensor is adjustable rather than fixed. A twilight threshold setting stops the light triggering in daylight, and the on-time can be set to 5 seconds, 90 seconds, 3 minutes or 10 minutes. Detection switches between a 30 degree and a 150 degree angle, with a matching range of 12 metres or 6 metres, for a maximum mounting height of 6 metres. The LEDs are integrated rather than replaceable, giving 2100 lumens at a warm white 3000 K, so there is no bulb to buy and none to change on a ladder. Installation is a job for a qualified electrician. Delivery takes 8-15 working days.
