Cloud and Star Children's Wall Light

A flat wall light cut into a cloud or a star outline, 26cm wide and 15cm tall, that glows evenly across its whole face. It is designed to sit low on a wall - beside a cot, above a bunk, or along a corridor a child walks at night - and gives a soft, shadowless light rather than a beam pointed into the room.

Five finishes are offered: a cloud in white, pink or gold, and a star in blue or pink. All five use the same 7W tricolour white LED, which can be set to a warm tone for settling down, a neutral tone for playing, or a cooler tone for reading. The output covers roughly three to five square metres, which is about right for one end of a child's bedroom.

Because it is wall mounted there is no lamp on a bedside table to knock over and no flex trailing down to a socket, which is a real advantage in a small child's room. Dust the face with a dry cloth once the light has cooled. This is a hardwired fitting and should be installed by a qualified electrician on an isolated circuit, well out of a child's reach.
