Firework Glass Dome Pendant Light

Inside the glass of this dome, fine metallic threads burst outward from a central point like a firework caught mid-explosion. Unlit it reads as a smoky tinted shade; lit, the threads catch the light and scatter it across the ceiling in a way that a plain shade never will. It is a small fitting doing a decorative job, and it earns its place over a table or a stairwell.

The dome measures 15cm across and hangs from an adjustable 120cm cord, so the drop can be set to suit the room at installation. Three finishes are offered: bronze for a warm antique cast, silver for something cooler and more graphic, and gold for the most opulent of the three. All three suit a warm filament-style lamp better than a cold one, and a clear bulb will show the internal threads more sharply than a frosted one.

Glass and metal throughout, with a standard E27 socket that takes any common bulb. Only the 220-240V UK and Irish specification is stocked; the 110V option offered by the manufacturer is not supplied. This is a hardwired ceiling fitting and should be installed by a qualified electrician with the lighting circuit isolated at the consumer unit, and the ceiling checked for joists and cables before any hole is drilled.
