The Fluxa hangs a wide, softly rounded disc from a swing arm that mounts to the ceiling, so the light can be positioned away from the ceiling rose. A polished sphere at the top of the disc finishes the silhouette and keeps the shape from reading as flat. The disc is finished in a muted Morandi red, a dusty tone that stays calm against white or plaster walls and warms up once the light is on.

The fitting is metal and acrylic, with an integrated LED light source included, so there are no bulbs to buy or replace. The cord is adjustable, which means the drop can be set to suit the room, and the fitting is compatible with sloped ceilings. It hardwires in place, runs on 110V-240V and is rated IP20 for indoor use, in rooms of roughly 10 to 15 square metres.

The swing arm is the practical part: it is a straightforward answer for dining tables and reading corners that do not sit under the existing wiring point. Because it hardwires, a qualified electrician should fit it, and the arm position is worth marking out on the ceiling before any drilling starts. Wipe the disc with a dry, soft cloth and keep moisture away from the LED.
