Cutlery is the part of a table setting people actually hold, and weight is most of what makes it feel expensive. These pieces are forged with a full-length tang and a thick, tapering handle, so a fork sits in the hand with proper balance rather than the tinny lightness of pressed flatware. Each place setting comprises a dinner knife, dinner fork, dessert spoon and teaspoon. The steel is 18/10 stainless — the higher chromium and nickel content is what keeps a mirror or gold PVD finish bright rather than clouding after a few months of dishwashing. Edges are polished smooth, the knife is serrated along its lower half, and the handles carry a single fine bevel as their only decoration.

Sets are offered for two, three, four or five places, so a service can be built up rather than bought all at once. Dishwasher safe on a normal cycle; rinse off salt, vinegar and citrus promptly, avoid abrasive pads and long soaking, and do not wash the gold finish alongside silver-plated items. Gold and silver sets are cut from the same pattern, so the two finishes can be mixed across a table if you prefer a less uniform, more collected look.
