Ginkgo Leaf Cotton Duvet Set

The ginkgo leaf is one of the few botanical motifs that survives being scaled up, because the fan shape stays graphic rather than turning fussy. Printed across cotton at bed size it gives a room a botanical note without the bedroom becoming a garden, and the reverse side is a plain coordinating tone - so the same set gives you a patterned bed one week and a quiet one the next.

The cotton has a matte, slightly dry handle rather than a sheen, which is what you want against skin and what makes a bed look made rather than laminated. Wash warm on a normal cycle, tumble on low and take it out slightly damp if you would rather not iron it - the print holds up to repeated washing well. Wash separately for the first cycle or two, as strong prints on cotton can release a little colour early on.
