Glacier Ripple Whisky Glass

A short tumbler with a deep rippled texture worked into the outside of the bowl, so the spirit inside appears to break and refract across the surface as the glass is turned. It measures 8.5cm in both height and width and holds 240ml, which is the right size for a measure over a large cube of ice with room left over.

Four tints are offered: a plain clear, a smoky grey, a warm amber-brown and an iridescent rainbow finish that shifts colour under a lamp. Bought as a set of four in different tints, they make it obvious whose glass is whose across an evening, which is a more practical argument for a mixed set than it sounds.

The base is weighted, so the glass sits firmly and does not tip easily on a soft surface like a book or a coaster. Hand washing is recommended to preserve the clarity of the tinted finishes; a dishwasher will dull them over time. Sold individually, so a set can be built in whichever combination of tints suits the shelf it will live on.
