Halvo Amber Glass Walnut Pendant Light

The Halvo brings a warm amber glow to a room without much bulk. A wide ovoid shade in smooth brown amber glass sits beneath a turned wood stem in a walnut finish, and the two materials together give the fixture a soft mid-century character that settles easily into modern and Nordic rooms alike. Unlit, the tinted glass still reads as a warm brown accent rather than a clear or white shade.

Light behaves in two ways here. The tinted glass wraps the room in a honeyed ambient wash, while a pale diffuser disc across the base of the shade sends a softer, glare-free pool of light straight down onto the surface below. A single screw fitting bulb sits inside, and the fixture works with a compatible dimmer switch, so the level can drop from task bright to low evening light on the same circuit.

That range suits a dining table, a kitchen island or a reading corner, where the same fitting has to work for eating, preparing food and sitting still. The pendant is hardwired and arrives with a 150cm twisted fabric cord that can be shortened on site to suit ceiling height, so fitting is straightforward for a qualified electrician.
