The Havo Tall Path Light from Lockhone stands a full metre high, which lifts the light source above shrub and hedge level and spreads it further along a driveway or garden path. Lockhone picked the 100 cm height for the approach to a house, where a shorter post tends to disappear behind planting by midsummer.

An angled head holds an integrated 17 W LED behind a wide diffuser panel, giving 2000 lumens at 3000 kelvin. The warm white tone suits render, brick and timber, and the downward tilt aims the beam at the ground so a path is lit without glare at eye level. Nothing needs buying separately, because the LED is built into the head.

Aluminium construction in anthracite brings the weight to 4.4 kg, enough to stand steady in wind, and the IP65 rating seals the fitting against dust and against water jets from any direction. A bolt-down base plate fixes to paving or a concrete foundation. Set at regular intervals, a run of these posts gives a driveway the even, considered look of a properly lit approach rather than scattered pools of light.
