Hotel Brushed Microfibre Duvet Set

A plain brushed microfibre duvet set cut to the proportions hotels use, with a cover and two matching pillowcases. Brushing the surface after weaving is what gives microfibre the soft, slightly matt handle that separates a good set from the slick, papery ones; it also stops the fabric from feeling cold against skin on the first night.

Four sizes are offered, from a single at 140 by 200cm through a double at 200 by 200cm and a king at 200 by 220cm up to a super king at 220 by 240cm. Colours run to a clean white, a soft gold, a mid blue and a deep red, all in a flat solid tone with no pattern, which makes them easy to layer with a patterned throw.

Microfibre is the practical choice for a spare room or a household that changes bedding often: it dries quickly, resists creasing so it comes off a line more or less ready to use, and takes a machine wash at 40 degrees without losing its shape. Wash before first use. Tumble dry on a low setting or line dry; a hot dryer will flatten the brushed finish and take away the very quality that makes the set worth having. Iron on a cool setting if a crisper look is wanted for a guest bed.
