Inaro Gold Linear Pendant Light

The Inaro is built from two straight lines rather than a shade. A slim gold metal bar hangs from two fine cables, and a frosted acrylic tube is slung beneath it, held by three contrasting tan collars set slightly off-centre so the composition never looks symmetrical or static. The whole fitting is 80cm long and only 18cm tall, which keeps it visually light above a table where a bulkier pendant would dominate the room.

The light source is an LED strip running the full length of the acrylic tube, so the output is a continuous line rather than a series of bright points. That spreads even light along a table top or a worktop and avoids the hard shadows a single downlight throws across plates and glasses. The fitting is dimmable by remote control, so the level can be dropped for a long dinner and raised again afterwards.

It suits a dining table, a kitchen island or a long desk, and that flexibility means one fitting covers both evening meals and work at the same surface. The 120cm suspension is adjustable, so the bar can be set at the right height above whatever sits below it. The acrylic tube diffuses evenly but shows dust, and a dry cloth run along its length once in a while keeps the line clean.
