Large Digital Wall Clock 40cm

A digital wall clock with a 40 centimetre display, which is large enough to read across a kitchen or a workshop without squinting. Most digital clocks are desk-sized and get put on a shelf where nobody looks; this one is built to go on a wall and be the thing you glance at from the other side of the room. The face is acrylic with the segments set behind it.

It shows more than the time. Date and temperature sit alongside the clock, and the day of the week is picked out in a second colour so it reads at a glance rather than needing to be found. There is a stopwatch and a countdown timer built in, which are genuinely useful in a kitchen, a gym room or a workshop, and a remote control is supplied so the settings can be changed without reaching the unit.

The obvious places for it are a kitchen, a home office, a garage or a utility room - anywhere a glance needs to be quick and the wall is too far away for a small face. It is a modern-looking object and does not pretend otherwise, so it sits better in a plain room than in a period one. Wipe the acrylic with a soft damp cloth only; solvents and abrasive cleaners will craze the surface permanently.
