Linen Ruffle Edge Cushion Cover

Nothing says relaxed, lived-in comfort quite like crumpled linen, and this ruffle-edged cushion cover captures that effortless look perfectly. A soft frill runs around all four sides, framing the solid colour panel and adding a romantic, cottage-style detail to sofas, armchairs and beds. It works beautifully layered with other textures, from chunky knits to smooth velvet, and brings a calm, natural feel to any room in the house.

The cover is made from 100 percent linen, dyed in six muted shades: pale green, beige, brown, white, lilac and grey. Choose from four square sizes, 40cm, 45cm, 50cm and 60cm, so you can build a layered arrangement with larger cushions at the back and smaller ones in front. Linen is breathable, keeping cushions cool in summer, and it becomes softer and more supple every time it is washed.

The cover is sold without an insert. Remove the insert before washing, then machine wash the cover on a gentle cool cycle with similar colours and hang it to dry. The natural creases are part of linen's charm, but a warm iron on the reverse will smooth the panel if you prefer a crisper finish. Avoid tumble drying on high heat, which can shrink natural fibres and flatten the ruffles.
