Orba Gradient Glass Globe Pendant Light

The Orba is a spherical glass shade with a graduated metallic finish. The upper section carries a gold mirror coat that fades to clear glass at the base, creating a tonal shift that reflects both the room around it and the light within. Unlit, the mirrored top reads as a solid form; lit, the clear lower half opens up and the gold above catches the glow. It is a small piece that changes noticeably between day and evening.

Sizes run from 15cm to 40cm in diameter, which covers a small accent through to a globe with enough presence to anchor a table. An exposed filament bulb sits inside the globe and becomes part of the display, glowing through the clear lower half while reflecting in the gold upper coat. Bulbs are not included. The fitting is supplied to suit the destination, with an E27 screw fitting on UK orders and E26 on US orders, and includes an adjustable cord up to 150cm with a matching ceiling canopy.

Orba is sold as one single pendant, so a trio over a dining table means ordering three and setting each drop. A single larger globe suits a reading chair, a hallway or a bedside, while a run of smaller ones works along an island. Choose the filament bulb carefully, since it is visible through the clear glass and sets the character of the fitting. For indoor use only. Wipe the glass with a soft dry cloth to keep the mirrored coat clear.
