Retro Lever Switch Table Lamp

A compact table lamp built around a single detail: a chunky retro lever on the body that clicks the light on and off, rather than a touch panel or a hidden button. It stands 20.4cm tall on an 11.2cm base, so it fits a bedside table, a windowsill or a bathroom shelf without asking for much room, and the lever makes it easy to operate half asleep.

The body is moulded from ABS and polycarbonate with a matt finish, and the LED behind the diffuser draws around 2W - enough for a warm bedside glow, not enough to read a novel by for long. It runs cordless on an internal rechargeable battery charged over a 5V USB lead, so it can be moved around the house freely and used where there is no socket.

Two finishes are offered, a soft chalky white and a warm mid grey, both matt rather than glossy so they do not pick up fingerprints. Wipe the body with a barely damp cloth and keep the charging port dry. Charge it using a UK-approved USB mains adapter, which is not supplied. The lamp contains a built-in battery, which should be recycled at an approved collection point rather than in household waste at the end of its life.
