Rotating Aluminium Towel Rack

A fixed towel rail forces you to hang everything in one flat plane, which is why the second towel never dries. This rack solves that with independently swivelling arms: fan them out when the bathroom is full, fold them back flush against the wall when it is not. Each arm turns through a wide arc on its own pivot, so a bath sheet, two hand towels and a flannel can all hang with air moving around them.

The frame is space aluminium with a powder-coated finish, chosen because it will not rust in a wet room the way plated steel eventually does. Arms are roughly thirty centimetres long, and you choose how many you need: two bars for a compact cloakroom, five for a family bathroom or a busy kitchen. Three finishes are available, grey, black and white, so it can disappear into the wall or read as a deliberate line of hardware.

It mounts to the wall with the supplied fixings and takes a few minutes with a drill and a spirit level. Check carefully for concealed pipes and cables before you drill, and use wall plugs suited to your wall type, particularly on plasterboard. Beyond the bathroom it works well in a kitchen for tea towels, or in a utility room for cleaning cloths.
