Acrylic Storage Box With Lid 20cm

A lidded box in acrylic, 20cm square and 10cm deep, for the things that otherwise migrate across a desk or a shelf. Acrylic is the right material for open storage because you can see what is inside without lifting the lid, so a stack of three boxes stays usable rather than becoming three mystery containers. Offered in clear, in tinted blue and pink, and in solid black, yellow, orange and red.

The 10cm depth is chosen well. It takes cables, chargers, stationery, craft materials, hair accessories or a jewellery tray without being so deep that everything sinks to the bottom out of reach. The lid sits flush inside the rim rather than overlapping the sides, which means two or three boxes stack squarely without sliding. The walls are thick enough to hold their shape when the box is full and lifted by one edge.

One practical warning: acrylic crazes when it meets solvents. Clean with warm water and a soft cloth only, and keep alcohol, acetone, nail polish remover and spray cleaners away from it, as they will produce a network of fine cracks that cannot be polished out. Handled that way the surface stays clear for years. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight, which will eventually yellow the clear and tinted versions.
