Aluminium Bathroom Wall Shelf

Bathroom shelving fails in one of two ways: it rusts, or it looks like gym equipment. This shelf avoids both. The body is aluminium with an anodised coating, which does not corrode in constant humidity the way a chromed steel rack eventually does, and the profile is kept flat and plain so it reads as a clean line on the wall rather than as a piece of hardware bolted to the tiles.

Fifty centimetres is a genuinely useful length. It takes a row of bottles above a basin, spans the width of most shower recesses, or holds folded flannels and a candle in a cloakroom without looking sparse. The single-tier design keeps everything visible and reachable, which is more practical day to day than a two-tier rack where the lower shelf collects damp packaging.

Black and white finishes are offered, both matt, both easy to keep looking clean with a wipe. The open construction lets water drain rather than pooling under bottles. Fixings are best matched to your wall: use proper anchors in plasterboard and take care drilling near tile edges, or have it fitted by someone else if you would rather not put a drill through your own tiling.
