Anjo Stainless Steel Solar Pedestal Light

The Anjo runs on nothing but daylight. A solar panel sits flat on the top of the head, charges through the day, and the light comes on by itself after dark. There is no cable to bury, no supply to run and no electrician to book, which makes it a straightforward way to light a path in a garden that was never wired for it in the first place.

A motion detector in the neck means the light can sit at a low glow and lift to full output when somebody comes up the path, so the charge lasts through a longer night. The head is clear plastic over a stainless steel body, so the LED throws light out sideways as well as down. It stands 54 cm high, gives 400 lumens at a warm 3000 K, and is rated IP44 against rain.

It suits a path, border, driveway edge, patio or front garden, and several can be spaced along a route with no wiring between them. Installation is a matter of fixing it down somewhere that gets sun through the day; a shaded spot will shorten the run time badly. Wipe the panel clear of dust and leaf fall now and then, since a dirty panel charges slowly.
