ArchPlush Jacquard Stretch Sofa Cover

Stretch covers live or die on the fabric. A thin one shows every contour of the sofa underneath; a good one has enough body to hide it. ArchPlush is a heavy jacquard knit with an arched relief pattern woven into the surface, which gives it both weight and a texture that disguises the seams and worn patches of whatever it is covering.

The knit stretches in both directions, so it pulls over rounded arms, high backs and cushions without tailoring. Elastic runs through the hem and foam anchor rods are supplied to push into the crevices between seat and back — the step most people skip and the one that stops the cover riding up. Five colours are offered: beige, grey, bright coffee, pink and dark grey.

Four sizes cover one to four seats; measure the sofa across the outside of both arms and choose by that figure rather than by how many people sit on it. Machine wash cool on a gentle cycle and line dry — the elastic will perish in a tumble dryer. Do not bleach or iron. Buying a second cover in a different colour is a common approach, since swapping one over takes a couple of minutes and changes a room more than a new cushion would.
