Arsen Linear Glass Bar Pendant Light

The Arsen borrows the shape of a workshop tube light and cleans it up for the home. A 123 cm glass cylinder sits inside a slim wire guard, capped at both ends with polished silver fittings, and hangs from two fine steel suspension cables. Light travels the full length of the tube rather than pooling under a single point, which is the difference between a lit table and a lit spot on a table.

An integrated LED runs the length of the fitting at roughly 18 W, so there is no bulb to buy and no socket to reach into. The body is metal and glass in a silver finish, weighs 10 kg and carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor rooms. A driver is required, and the supplied wiring runs to 150 cm, which leaves room to set the drop height before the ceiling plates are fixed.

A single 123 cm bar covers a dining table, a kitchen island or a long desk run in one continuous band of light, which is difficult to achieve with a cluster of small pendants. At 10 kg it needs a sound fixing into a joist or a suitable ceiling anchor, so check the structure before drilling. Keep it to dry rooms, and dust the glass and the wire guard occasionally.
