The Auri Square Outdoor Wall Light takes the form of a 25 cm square lantern, with a dark grey frame set proud of a white glass diffuser so the glass appears to float inside a cage. Light leaves through the front face and through the four narrow side panels at once, which lifts the whole fitting off the wall visually instead of leaving a dark box with one bright face.

The frame is die-cast aluminium and the diffuser is glass rather than plastic, which keeps the white face from yellowing over seasons outdoors. It projects only 9.5 cm from the wall, so it clears a door swing and suits a narrow porch or a passage between houses. An IP54 rating covers dust and splashing water, and the square form mounts equally well on a wall or flat under a soffit.

Lockhone supplies the Auri as a hardwired fitting running on 230V and taking two E27 screw bulbs, which are not included. Two bulbs behind a single diffuser spread the light more evenly than one and keep hot spots off the glass. It dims when wired through an external dimmer, which is not supplied. Assembly is required and fitting by a qualified electrician is recommended. Delivery takes 8-15 working days.
