Beige Linen Effect Shower Curtain

Shower curtains are usually the cheapest-looking thing in a bathroom, because most of them are thin plastic that clings to your legs. This one is a heavy woven fabric with a linen texture, which changes the whole room: it hangs in proper folds from the rail, holds its weight against a draught, and reads as a curtain rather than a sheet of PVC.

The beige is warm rather than yellow, and works as well against white tile as it does with wood, stone or a darker painted wall - it is the neutral you choose when you do not want the curtain to be the loudest thing in the bathroom. Four sizes cover standard baths through to larger walk-in enclosures, and the top is finished with reinforced metal eyelets that will not tear out of the fabric the way punched plastic holes do.

The fabric is water resistant and treated to resist mildew, and unlike a plastic liner it goes in the washing machine when it needs it. Use it with a separate liner if your shower runs directly against it, hang it out to dry rather than tumbling it, and pull it fully across after use so it dries flat rather than staying bunched.
