The Belvo is a clean metal cylinder on a flat rear plate, open at the top and the bottom so light leaves in two directions at once. At 26 cm tall and 9 cm across it sits close to the wall and reads as a quiet vertical marker rather than a fitting that demands attention. Black suits render, brick, timber cladding and painted masonry equally well, so several can run along one elevation without the wall looking busy.

Two COB LED lamps are supplied with the fitting, one aimed up and one aimed down, both in a warm white tone. The result is a matched pair of cones on the wall: the upper one lifts the surface and softens a tall blank facade, the lower one drops usable light onto a doorstep, a garden path or a set of stairs. Glass covers sit over each opening, and the maximum rating is 10 W.

That modest load keeps a whole run inexpensive to leave on through the evening, which matters when the fitting is doing the work of both a marker and a wash. Space the units evenly along an elevation and set them at a consistent height so the cones line up, since the effect depends on repetition more than on any single light. Wipe the glass covers each season and check the lamps are seated before closing the fitting up.
