Botanical Acrylic Wall Clock 30cm

A wall clock cut from acrylic with a botanical floral design running across the face. The shape is upright rather than round, 20cm wide by 30cm tall, which makes it useful in the awkward narrow spots a circular clock cannot fill: the strip of wall beside a door, the end of a run of kitchen units, the space between two windows. The florals are printed under the acrylic, so they will not scuff off the front face.

Acrylic is a good choice for a clock in a kitchen or a bathroom landing. It does not corrode in humidity, it weighs very little for its size, and if it is knocked off the wall it will not shatter into fragments the way glass does. The face is glossy, which gives the colours some depth, and the hands are dark enough to read clearly against the pale ground even across a room.

The movement is a silent sweep, so the second hand travels smoothly and the clock makes no ticking sound. It runs on a single AA battery, which is not supplied. One care note specific to the material: clean with a soft dry cloth or a barely damp one, and keep solvents, alcohol and spray cleaners well away, as these will craze acrylic and leave a permanent web of fine cracks across the face.
