Weighted Shower Squeegee

Limescale on shower glass is easier to prevent than to remove, and thirty seconds with a squeegee after each shower is the whole prevention strategy. This one is built to be left on view: a solid weighted handle in black or brushed silver, a wide silicone blade, and a leather loop so it hangs on a hook or over the screen rather than lying in a puddle.

The blade is a single piece of soft silicone rather than rubber, so it stays flexible in hot water, clears the glass in one pass without chatter, and does not perish or go sticky the way cheaper blades do. The weight in the handle does most of the work — the squeegee tracks down the pane under its own mass and you simply guide it. The head sits at a slight angle, which lets it reach into the corners of a cubicle and along the top of a bath screen.

Rinse the blade after use and dry it before hanging. The blade is replaceable when it eventually loses its edge. Suitable for glass, tile and acrylic; avoid abrasive cleaners on the handle finish. Kept beside the shower and used daily, it removes the need for descaling sprays almost entirely, which is better for the glass seals as well as for the glass.
