Brindo Layered Disc Flush Ceiling Light

The Brindo sets two rounded plates one over the other, so the upper shape appears to float just clear of the lower one. Light escapes through the gap between them and washes up across the ceiling, which turns the fitting into a soft band of glow rather than a hard bright spot. At 40 cm across and sitting flush to the plaster, it keeps the ceiling line clean and uninterrupted.

An integrated LED board runs behind the acrylic diffuser at 30 W, giving 3,000 lumens of warm white light. Because the output is spread along the whole edge there are no hot spots and no glare when looking up. The frame is metal with an acrylic shade, and the unit is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms. There is no bulb to source, so the fitting works straight from the ceiling rose.

That output is enough to be the only light in a bedroom, study or living room of roughly five to ten square metres, and the flush profile suits rooms where a hanging pendant would be in the way, such as a low landing or a room with a sloping run of ceiling. Wipe the acrylic with a dry cloth now and then to keep the face even, and keep the fitting to dry rooms given the IP20 rating.
