Brushed Aluminium LED Wall Light

Brushed aluminium gives this wall light a finer, less reflective surface than a painted fitting, which matters on a shape this plain: there is no detail to look at, so the material has to carry it. The body projects a short distance from the wall and washes light across the surface rather than into the room, making it a good choice for a hallway, a stairwell or the wall above a headboard where glare would be a problem.

Two sizes are offered. The small is roughly fourteen centimetres and suits a tight space such as a landing or the side of a doorway; the medium is around twenty-four and reads better on a long, empty wall or in a pair either side of a bed. Black and white finishes are both available in both sizes, so you can match existing sockets and switch plates rather than working around them.

The LED is built in and not replaceable, drawing between six and fourteen watts depending on the size chosen, and running on eighty-five to two hundred and sixty-five volts. Warm and cool light tones are selected at the point of purchase. The fitting is hardwired and rated for indoor, dry locations only. Use a qualified electrician, and isolate the circuit at the consumer unit before any work starts.
