Cadro Amber Glass Drum Pendant Light

Cadro is a drum pendant in hand poured amber glass. The shade is wide and shallow, with a rippled lower rim, so every piece catches light a little differently and the bulb inside reads as a warm core rather than a hard bright point. The amber tint warms the light before it reaches the room, which is what makes the fitting comfortable to sit near at a table or a kitchen worktop.

Brass hardware runs from the ceiling fitting down to the switch collar on the lampholder, a warm metal that sits well against amber glass and ages gently rather than staying showroom bright. The shade measures 16.5 cm across and 8.5 cm deep. The braided cable is supplied at 150 cm and can be shortened at installation, which suits a low ceiling and an open stairwell equally well.

The compact shade sits neatly in a row of two or three above a kitchen island or a worktop, and works just as well on its own beside a bed, over a side table or in a hallway. Set the drop so the shade sits clear of eye level for anyone seated. The ceiling connection is hardwired and should be made by a qualified electrician. Wipe the glass and brass with a dry cloth.
