Cando Cream Glass Ceiling Light

The Cando is a rounded cushion of cream glass that sits tight against the ceiling. The colour is in the glass rather than in the light, so it stays a warm cream tone during the day and does not vanish into a white ceiling the way a plain opal fitting does.

Lit, the whole body glows evenly and the small chrome centre finial catches a highlight. Three colour temperatures are switchable and the light is dimmable, so the same fitting can run bright for a hallway or low and warm for a bedroom in the evening. The LED is built in and included, and the shallow 10 cm depth keeps it out of the way in rooms with lower ceilings.

At 32 cm across the Cando works in a bedroom, on a landing, in a hallway or in a kitchen, and it is shallow enough to sit above a bed or a stair without crowding head height. Check that any dimmer already fitted is compatible with LED loads before relying on it. The fitting is hardwired and rated IP20 for indoor use, and assembly is required, so installation is best carried out by a qualified electrician. A dry cloth keeps the glass clear.
