Carved Fish Lantern Pendant Light 40cm

A tall timber cylinder is cut with open fretwork panels, each carved into a swimming fish, and backed with a pale diffusing sheet so the pattern reads clearly whether the light is on or off. Lit, the fish throw crisp silhouettes onto the ceiling and the nearest wall; unlit, the frame stands as a quiet column of warm brown timber. The proportions are narrow enough to hang over a table without blocking a sightline across it.

The frame is timber with a plastic diffuser behind the carving, and the whole fitting weighs 4.9 kg, so it wants a ceiling rose and fixing rated for that load. It measures 30 cm across and 40 cm tall, with a chain that can be shortened during installation to set the drop. It arrives pre-assembled, which keeps the work at the ceiling to the electrical connection and the fixing itself.

Supplied for a 220-240 V supply and wired for a single lamp; the bulb is not included, and a dimmable bulb plus a compatible wall dimmer is needed if you want to dim it. This is a dry-location fitting, so it is not suitable for a bathroom or a covered porch. Have it installed by a qualified electrician with the circuit isolated, and dust the carved panels with a soft dry brush.
