Ceramic Mushroom Night Light

A small mushroom in glazed ceramic with an enamelled cap, standing about 10cm high and 7cm across. The glow comes through the cap rather than out of it, which is what keeps the light soft enough to leave on through the night without it becoming the brightest thing in a dark room. Five colourways are offered, from a deep red through pink and yellow to blue and lilac.

Ceramic gives it weight that plastic night lights never have, so it sits firmly on a shelf or a bedside table rather than sliding when a duvet catches it. The finish is glossy and wipes clean. It runs on button cell batteries, which means no trailing lead across a nightstand and no socket taken up in a room where sockets are usually already spoken for.
