A three piece set for a single bed in an abstract chequerboard, where the squares are drawn slightly off true so the grid reads as hand made rather than printed by machine. The palette is quiet enough for an adult spare room and graphic enough for a child's, which is a useful combination in a room that has to do both jobs across the course of a few years.
The set is polyester woven as a twill, which gives a closer, slightly diagonal surface than a plain weave and makes the cloth less prone to creasing when the bed is stripped and remade often. It contains a duvet cover at two hundred by one hundred and fifty centimetres, a fitted sheet at two hundred and thirty by one hundred and sixty, and one pillowcase at seventy four by forty eight.
No duvet or pillow is included, so check your own duvet against the cover size before ordering. Wash at a low temperature with similar colours, tumble on a cool setting and remove promptly; a hot dryer will set creases into a twill and can glaze the printed face. Keep the set away from open fires and portable heaters, as with any polyester bedding.
