Chevron Chenille Sofa Cover

A chevron weave running the width of the cover, which draws the eye across a sofa rather than down it and makes a wide three-seater look better proportioned. Worked in chenille, the zigzag catches light along each change of direction, so the pattern shifts slightly as you move through the room instead of sitting flat.

Four colours are offered and each has a different job. Emerald Green is the boldest and works as the single strong colour in a neutral room. Slate Grey is the safest and disappears into most schemes. Cafe Brown is warm and suits rooms with a lot of wood or leather. Ebony Black is the most graphic and sharpens up a pale room considerably.

Seven sizes run from 180 x 130cm through to 180 x 280cm, so most sofas can be matched properly. The chenille has a naturally grippy surface texture that helps it stay put without an added rubber backing, though tucking the edges down between the cushions is still worth doing. It works as a slipcover, a decorative throw or a protective layer over tired upholstery. Machine wash cold and air dry to protect the pile. Given how much wear a sofa takes across a year, a washable layer over the top is the cheapest way to keep the upholstery underneath looking new.
