Chunky Knit Throw Blanket

A heavy braided-knit throw in the oversized chunky style, made from soft polyester yarn rather than wool — which means it keeps the deep, sculptural braid without the itch, and it can go in a washing machine rather than to a dry cleaner. The weight of the knit is what makes it feel substantial across a lap or thrown over the arm of a sofa.

The braid pattern is dense enough to hold its structure rather than stretching flat, so it still looks deliberate after a few months of actual use. Draped over the end of a bed or a chair it reads as styling; pulled over you on the sofa it does the job. Five shades cover neutral and warmer tones so it can either blend into a scheme or sit as the one soft accent in a room.

Two sizes are offered: a 50 x 50cm piece that works as a chair throw or a layering piece, and an 80 x 100cm throw for a lap blanket or the foot of a bed. Machine washable on a cool, gentle cycle; dry flat rather than tumbling to keep the braid from stretching. Loose-knit blankets should be kept away from infants and never used in a cot.
