The Lockhone Clifo Bird Branch Linear Pendant Light brings a quiet piece of the outdoors indoors. A slim pale wooden bar spans 80 cm and carries three small cream ceramic birds along its length, while three shallow white discs sit flush beneath it and spread a soft, even pool of light across the surface below. The birds slide along the bar and turn to face any direction, so the arrangement can be reset whenever a room changes.

Wood, metal, resin and acrylic make up the fixture. The body is metal, and the shades combine wood, resin and acrylic to soften the output and keep glare off the table. Each disc measures 18 cm across and only 8.5 cm deep, which keeps the whole piece visually light despite the span, and the three discs read as one continuous line of warm light rather than three separate lamps.

Light comes from an integrated LED source that is included with the fixture, rated at a 7 W maximum and running on 110-240 V, so the same unit suits UK and US homes with no bulb to buy. A 60 cm ceiling plate and 150 cm of suspension wire are supplied, which allows the drop to be set over a dining table, a kitchen island or a long console. The fitting is rated IP20 for indoor use, needs hardwiring and assembly, and is best installed by a qualified electrician. Delivery takes 8-15 working days.
