The Lockhone Muno Japandi Wood Pendant Light is built from dozens of slim timber slats bent into a wide, low dome. Light passes between the slats and throws a soft striped pattern across the ceiling and the walls, so the fitting reads as a warm lantern once the bulb is on and as a quiet sculptural shape when it is off. At 43 cm across and 28 cm tall it holds a dining table or an island without blocking the view across the room.

Wood is the only material in the shade. The slats and the small conical top cap are wood throughout with the grain left visible, and the natural finish stays light enough to sit alongside oak, ash and pale plaster. A matte black flex keeps the line back to the ceiling discreet, and the 120 cm cord is supplied at a fixed length, so it helps to settle on the drop height before installation.

Screw fitting, bulb not included. Supplied to suit the destination: E27 (ES) on UK orders, E26 on US orders. One lamp is needed and LED, incandescent or fluorescent lamps all suit the fitting, which leaves the colour and warmth of the light open to preference. The pendant runs on 110-240 V, is rated IP20 for indoor rooms, and needs hardwiring and assembly, so a qualified electrician is recommended. Delivery takes 8-15 working days.
