CloudLux Embossed Check Bedding Set

A plush bedding set with a check worked into the surface as raised texture rather than printed flat, so the pattern is something you feel before you see it. The pile is short and dense, which gives the set real loft on a made bed and makes it noticeably warmer than a plain woven cover of the same weight — this is winter bedding rather than an all-year choice.

Four sizes run from 170 by 220cm through 200 by 230cm and 230 by 230cm to 260 by 230cm, each supplied with two matching pillowcases. Colours are a soft white, a warm gold, a mid blue and a deep red. The texture reads strongly in raking light, which is what stops a plain-coloured set from looking flat on a large bed.

Machine washable, though a plush finish holds more water than a flat weave and will take longer to dry, so a spin at full speed is worth using. Tumble dry on low only; high heat will mat the pile permanently. Wash separately for the first cycle, as textured microfibre sheds a little fibre before it settles down. Shake the cover out well before making the bed and the pile will stand up rather than lying pressed flat from the packaging.
