Coloured Borosilicate Tea Glass Collection

Clear glass teaware shows you the colour of what you are drinking, which is half the pleasure of a good oolong or a herbal infusion. The cups hold 80ml, which is the traditional gongfu size rather than a mug: small enough that the tea stays hot through the cup and you refill often, which is how the better leaf teas are meant to be drunk. The teapots hold 400ml, enough for two or three of those small cups in a round. The forms are simple and slightly irregular, with a soft-shouldered profile that sits well in the hand.

Borosilicate is the right glass for this job. It takes the thermal shock of boiling water without complaint, it is noticeably lighter than soda-lime glass, and it stays clear rather than clouding over years of washing. Every piece here is dishwasher safe, though hand washing will keep the tint looking its best for longer. Avoid setting a hot pot straight onto a cold stone worktop, and do not use these on a direct flame or hob.
