Coloured Glass Table Lamp 28cm

Coated coloured glass in soft retro tones, 28 centimetres tall and 18 centimetres across. Orange is the boldest of the four and turns properly amber once it is lit; pink and cream stay gentle; white holds its colour least and gives the cleanest light. The glass is worked in the stained style, so the shade has depth to it during the day rather than going flat when the lamp is off.

This is a lamp to put where its colour will be seen: a hall table, a windowsill, a shelf beside a mirror, the corner of a desk. It is not a reading lamp and does not pretend to be one. The output is low and warm and does its best work after dark, when the shade becomes the brightest thing in the room and throws colour onto the wall behind it.

Power comes through a USB lead, so it will run from a mains adapter, a laptop or a power bank. Use a UK-approved adapter. The glass shade is the fragile part and sits close to the light source, so stand the lamp where it cannot be knocked, keep it off the edge of a surface, and wipe it with a soft dry cloth rather than anything wet.
