Column Outdoor LED Bollard

A clean vertical line is often all a modern garden needs. This bollard is a slim column with the LED recessed at the top, so the light falls downwards onto paving and planting instead of glaring across the garden or into a neighbour's window. Three heights are offered, which makes it easy to grade a run - taller units at the drive, shorter ones stepping down towards a seating area.

The light source is a warm-toned LED chosen to flatter brick, gravel and greenery rather than bleach them. Running costs are negligible compared with an old halogen post light, and there is no bulb to change on a ladder in February. The column stands square and stable on its base plate, and the proportions are quiet enough to disappear into a border once the planting fills out.

Materials are specified for permanent outdoor use, with a finish that resists rain, UV fading and frost. Mixing the three sizes along a single path gives a rhythm that a uniform row of identical posts never quite achieves. Wipe the top surface occasionally so that leaf litter and moss do not settle on the lens, and the beam will stay as clean as the day it was installed.
