Cordless 360 Adjustable Wall Light

Twenty-four LEDs behind a diffuser on a head that rotates a full turn, so the light can be aimed at a book, bounced off a ceiling, or turned to wash down a wall. Brightness and colour temperature are both adjustable, which means the same fitting gives crisp white light for reading and a warm amber for winding down an hour later.

It mounts in about a minute and needs no wiring whatsoever. That makes it a straightforward fix for the two places a wall light is always wanted and never present: either side of a bed in a rented flat, and beside an armchair too far from a socket. It also works over a kitchen worktop, inside a wardrobe, on a landing, or in a caravan or campervan.

The finish comes in flat black, clean white or a warm wood effect to suit the wall behind it. Charging is by USB, and the fitting lifts off its bracket to be charged and put back. Use a UK-approved USB mains adapter, which is not supplied. Do not look directly into the LEDs at close range. The battery is built in and not user-replaceable, so recycle it responsibly at the end of its life.
