Cotton Jacquard Sofa Throw

A sofa throw woven from 100% cotton in a jacquard structure, measuring 150 x 125cm. The repeating motif is built into the weave rather than printed, which means it appears in reverse on the back and survives washing without cracking or fading at the folds. Pure cotton also breathes, so it is comfortable to sit under in a warm room rather than only in winter.

The size is a genuine two-seater throw: enough to cover the back and one arm of a sofa, or to lie across the foot of a double bed without hanging awkwardly short. It has the slightly dry, textured handle that cotton jacquard always has, which is what stops it sliding off a leather or a smooth linen sofa the way a synthetic fleece does.

Used as a cover it protects upholstery from everyday wear; folded over a chair back it reads as a deliberate piece of styling rather than a stopgap. It can equally be hung flat on a wall as a textile panel in place of a print. Machine wash cool on a gentle cycle with like colours and dry flat or on a low tumble; avoid bleach and fabric conditioner, which soften the structure of the weave.
