The Cova Round Plaster Wall Light is a half-cylinder of plaster that sits flat to the wall and throws light up and down rather than out into the room. It measures 16 cm tall, 10 cm wide and just 6 cm deep, so it stays clear of a passing shoulder in a hallway or a stairwell where a projecting fitting would be in the way. Because the openings face up and down, the bulb never sits in the line of sight and there is no glare at eye level, only two soft pools of light on the wall above and below.

Plaster gives the piece a chalky matte surface with none of the shine of metal or glass, and it takes paint readily. That means the Cova can be left in its natural white to sit quietly against a pale wall, or painted in the same colour as the wall behind it so it reads as part of the plasterwork rather than as a fitting hung on top of it. A pattern or a single flat colour both work on the surface, which is unusual in a wall light and makes it easy to match a scheme exactly.

Lockhone supplies the Cova as a hardwired indoor fitting rated IP20, drawing a single 5 W LED capsule bulb that is not included, and it is dimmable when paired with an external dimmer. At 0.52 kg it is light enough for a plasterboard wall with the right fixings. Assembly is required and fitting by a qualified electrician is recommended. Delivery takes 8-15 working days.
