CozyCover Tasselled Sofa Cover

A woven sofa cover finished with tassels along the short edges, in five Nordic-influenced designs — plain textures, fine stripes and simple geometric bands rather than anything busy. It is laid over the seat and back rather than fitted, which means it suits sofas that a tailored cover will not fit and can be moved to a different piece of furniture later.

Five sizes are offered, all 180cm wide, with drops of 130, 150, 180, 200 and 230cm. The 130cm suits a two-seater seat alone; the longest will take a three-seater over the back and down the front. Measuring across the seat and then over whichever edges you want covered is the reliable way to choose, rather than going by the sofa’s advertised seat count.

The main job it does is protecting upholstery from daily wear, from sun bleaching on the arm nearest a window, and from the marks that are difficult to lift out of a fixed cover. Machine washable, which a sofa is not. Wash at 30 degrees with like colours and dry on a low heat; tie the tassels loosely into bundles before washing to stop them knotting around each other, which takes a long time to comb out and is easily avoided.
