Crystal-Effect Cordless Night Light

A small faceted block of acrylic on a slim metal base, lit from within so the cut faces scatter the light into the corners of a dark room. It is bright enough to find your way by and dim enough to leave on, which is the whole point of a night light. Three shapes are offered, a rounded ball, a five-point star and a low horizontal track, so you can pick the one that suits the shelf it is going on.

There is no cable in use. The lamp charges over USB and then runs cordless, so it can move from a bedside table to a bathroom shelf to the top of the stairs without anything to trip over. A touch of the base steps the brightness smoothly from a faint glow up to full, and the light tone switches between warm, natural and cool white depending on whether you want it restful or useful.

This is a lamp, not a toy, and it should be kept out of the reach of small children and placed where it cannot be pulled off a shelf. Charge it with a UK USB power adapter. The acrylic marks if it is wiped with anything abrasive, so use a soft dry cloth. The built-in lithium cell means the lamp should go to a WEEE recycling point at the end of its life rather than into household waste.
