Cube LED Up and Down Wall Light

A plain aluminium cube, 10cm on every side, that throws light both upward and downward against the wall it is fixed to. The result is two soft triangles of light rather than a single glare point, which is why this shape has become a standard for hallways, stair walls and porches. There is no decoration at all; the interest comes from the pattern the light makes.

The integrated LED draws 6W in use and drops to half a watt on standby, so a run of several along a corridor costs very little to leave on. It runs on 220-240V at 50-60Hz, and the aluminium body dissipates heat well enough that the fitting stays cool to the touch. Two finishes are offered, a matt black and a matt white, both powder coated.

Used in pairs either side of a door, or spaced evenly up a staircase, it gives a deliberate, architectural rhythm to a plain wall, and because the light is aimed at the wall rather than into the room it never becomes a glare source. Wipe the housing with a dry cloth once it has cooled. This is a hardwired fitting: installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician on an isolated circuit, checking for pipes and cables before drilling into the wall.
