Cylma Gold Cylinder Cluster Ceiling Light

The Cylma works from a single idea repeated with precision: ten slim gold arms radiate from a polished cylindrical hub, and each arm carries a pair of frosted tubes, one pointing up and one pointing down. Twenty light points sit at staggered heights across a 68.5cm span, so the fitting reads as a low horizontal cloud rather than a tall centrepiece.

Every part of the frame is metal, finished in gold, and the tubes diffuse each small source into a soft column of light. Splitting the output between up and down means the ceiling is washed at the same time as the floor, which keeps a room evenly lit and avoids the harsh contrast a single downlight creates. Bulbs are not supplied, so brightness and colour temperature stay open to choice.

At 49.5cm from ceiling plate to the lowest tube it clears a standard room height comfortably, and the drop is adjustable, so it can sit tight above a dining table or lower over a living room or an open landing. Set the height so the upward tubes still throw onto the ceiling rather than sitting flat against it. Twenty tubes gather dust, so plan for an occasional wipe with a dry cloth.
