Daisy Dream Microfibre Sofa Cover

A soft microfibre sofa cover carrying a small scattered daisy motif, offered in four sizes from 130 by 180cm up to 340 by 180cm. The largest will run the full length of a corner sofa, which is where most loose covers give up — very few are made long enough to take a three-plus-chaise arrangement in a single piece rather than two overlapping ones.

The fabric is finished to resist shrinking and fading, and both matter more on a cover than on bedding: a cover that shrinks by a few centimetres stops reaching where it needs to, and one that fades unevenly where the sun falls looks worse than no cover at all. The weave is smooth and breathable rather than plush, so it does not trap heat in summer.

It is a practical choice in a house with pets, since hair lifts off a smooth microfibre far more easily than it does out of a textured weave and the whole cover goes in a machine when brushing is not enough. Wash at 30 degrees with like colours and tumble dry on low. Wash before first use to settle the finish, and measure your sofa across the seat and over the arms before choosing a size rather than relying on how many people it seats.
