Deco Ring LED Flush Ceiling Light

The Art Deco influence here is in the proportions rather than any literal borrowing: concentric bands, a strong circular outline and a flat profile that sits tight against the ceiling. At nine centimetres deep it reads as a disc rather than a fitting, which is what you want in a room with standard ceiling height where anything hanging would feel like an obstacle.

The body is iron with an acrylic diffuser, and the LED is integrated at eighteen, thirty-six or forty-eight watts depending on the size chosen. Because the diffuser runs the full face, the output is even across the whole disc with no bright spot at the centre. The smallest lights a room of around ten square metres comfortably; the largest handles up to twenty-five, which covers most living rooms and large bedrooms.

Two colour temperatures are offered at every size. Warm white at three thousand kelvin is the domestic choice and suits bedrooms and sitting rooms; cold white is brighter and more neutral, better in a kitchen, utility room or home office. The fitting is hardwired at mains voltage and is not dimmable, so pair it with a standard switch rather than a dimmer plate. Fixings are concealed behind the frame once the light is mounted, leaving a clean edge against the ceiling.
